Very Berry Cranberry Sauce

This amped up cranberry sauce is a WOW! This easy recipe rates a RELAXED for preparation.

This sauce rocks!  Be forewarned, it packs a punch and becomes totally addictive. I While it requires a few more ingredients than a basic sauce, it’s no extra work.  The addition of the blueberries and raspberries amps the Impress Meter to WOW.

Very Berry Cranberry Sauce

This sauce rocks!  Be forewarned, it packs a punch and becomes totally addictive. While it requires a few more ingredients than a basic sauce, it’s no extra work. 

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (12 ounces) fresh or frozen cranberries1/2 cup blueberries

  • 1/4 cup raspberries

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 Tablespoons Vanilla Extract (not a misprint!)

Directions

  • Mix cranberries, orange juice, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla extract in a large saucepan and bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Add the blueberries and raspberries and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Set aside to cool, then transfer to a jar and keep in the fridge until cold and thick.
